Nola Jones

Dr. Nola Jones is a music educator and general-effect/music adjudicator who serves on the DCI Judge Liaison Team for the music caption and has judged for WGI, Bands of America, and Drum Corps International. She is the Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, overseeing instructional supervision of some 400 arts educators and the Music Makes Us initiative. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Mississippi State University, a Master of Music Education from Mississippi College, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting from the University of South Carolina. At NAfME's request she directed the 2010 and 2011 U.S. Army All-American Band and helped write national standards for marching band, and she maintains an active national and international schedule as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator.
