Jay Kennedy

Jay Kennedy is a composer, arranger, educator, and adjudicator who was elected to the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame in 2007. He has been an active adjudicator for marching band, drum and bugle corps, and indoor percussion for more than 30 years, composed the themes for DCI championship broadcasts, and served as DCI's judge administrator/chief judge after being named to the role in 1988 (having previously chaired the percussion caption). He wrote for the Santa Clara Vanguard, instructed percussion and brass with The Cavaliers, and was brass arranger and program coordinator for the Boston Crusaders (2002-2011). The composer or arranger of more than 200 works, he is Vice President for Academic Affairs / Vice Provost at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
