Phil Madden

About

Phil Madden is a visual adjudicator and judge administrator based in Portland, Oregon, and a design architect specializing in aviation, military, and educational design. He has instructed and adjudicated pageantry events for over 30 years, serving as the Visual Judging Coordinator for Drum Corps International, Chief Judge / World Class Administrator / General Effect and Ensemble Coordinator for Winter Guard International, and adjunct Chief Judge for Bands of America. He has been visual coordinator for the Capital Regiment, San Jose Raiders, Valley Fever, and Seattle Cascades drum corps and initiated winter guard programs including James Logan High School. He holds a BA in Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
