Andrea Brown

Dr. Andrea E. Brown is a conductor, music educator, and DCI music adjudicator who is Associate Director of Bands at the University of Maryland, where she conducts the Wind Ensemble, directs the Athletic Bands, and coordinates the conducting division. She previously served on the conducting faculty at the University of Michigan and at Georgia Tech, and on the brass and conducting instructional staff of the DCI World Champion Phantom Regiment (2004-2017), also instructing the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band and Carolina Crown. She has been a DCI music judge since 2022 and on the Sousa Foundation Sudler Shield Jury since 2021, and is the founder of 'Women Rising to the Podium.'
